The Award in Confined Space Entry Specialist (CSES) is
designed for professionals who are required to work in, or supervise entry
into, confined spaces. This course equips learners with essential knowledge and
practical skills to safely prepare for, enter, work within, and exit confined
spaces in accordance with legal and organizational safety requirements.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of confined space hazards,
permit-to-work systems, atmospheric testing, personal protective equipment
(PPE), and emergency response procedures. Through a mix of classroom
instruction and hands-on exercises, learners will build the competence to
perform confined space tasks safely and confidently.
This qualification is assessed through a combination
of practical evaluations and Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs). Learners must
achieve the required passing score in both components to be awarded the
certification.
The recommended duration for this qualification is five days. However, the course length may be extended to accommodate additional learning requirements if necessary, but it cannot be shortened.
