The Train the Trainer – Permit to Work course is designed for
individuals who aspire to become certified trainers in the use of permit to
work systems in high-risk environments. This program equips participants with
essential knowledge on the legal and procedural aspects of permit to work (PTW)
systems, as well as practical skills for delivering effective training on these
systems. Topics covered include hazard identification, risk assessment,
isolation procedures, and the correct issuance of permits for tasks such as hot
work, confined space entry, electrical work, and working at heights. In
addition to technical content, the course focuses on adult learning principles
and communication techniques to ensure trainers can effectively teach others
how to implement PTW systems to enhance workplace safety.
This qualification is
assessed through practical evaluations and Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs). Learners
must achieve the required passing score in both assessments to receive
certification.
The recommended duration for this qualification is 7 days. This period may be extended to accommodate additional learning needs, but it cannot be shortened
